Scottish Canal Volunteering ~ Stone Mason
Description | Working alongside our resident stone mason, you would help restore/maintain our historic monument using the same traditional skills as our ancestors. This work is physically demanding so a good level of fitness is required. |
Location | Lowlands Canals – Union, Forth & Clyde and Monkland’s Canals |
Task | Re-pointing and repairing stone work |
Time Commitment | Having a flexible approach to time management is key. We would prefer people who can commit long term due to the nature of this project: We are happy to discuss this further with you. |
Why Volunteer with Scottish Canals | Being custodians of the canal is an important job. Here at Scottish Canals we take pride in our work and want you to be a big part of it, together we can help maintain 200 years of history. You will also become part of our family where every day is a school day and no challenge is too big.
