Scottish Canals Volunteering Opportunity ~ Van Driver, Towing & Boat Launching

LocationForth & Clyde and Union Canals

TaskDriver one of our vans & towing our litter boat to various locations, help launch boat.   Clean drivers licence is essential.

Time CommitmentHaving a flexible approach to time management is key.  We would prefer people who can commit ling term due to the nature of this project:  We are happy to discuss this further with you.

  • You will be given standard PPE

  • Training included

Skills Required
  • Clean driver’s License with Trailer towing element
  • Complete Daily driver checks for both vehicle and trailer
  • Adhere to SC Health & Safety protocols
  • Punctual time keeper
  • Willing to work outdoors
  • Able to travel
  • Reasonably fit
  • Good team player
  • Good communicator
  • Mechanical knowledge  (to help look after boat engine)
  • Knowledge of boats – (not essential)
